Gossip as a Lesbian Practice traces the labrys, also known as the double axe or Amazon axe, as a symbol of trans lesbian feminists. Past matriarchal cultures that valued the trans feminine, such as the Minoans or the Amazons, and their patriarchal antagonists at the time, are juxtaposed to current transmisogynistic developments by right-wing extremists and transphobic feminists.
